Moderate weather forecast over weekend

Moderate weather conditions are expected to prevail on Thursday and Friday in the hilly areas and the plains, as temperatures hovering around their annual average, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Mercury is forecast to rise few degrees on Saturday, but similar weather conditions will continue to persist, the JMD added.

Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach a high of 30 degrees Celsius the capital, Amman, and 26 degrees in the northern cities, dipping to 18 and 15 degrees respectively at night. Highs in the port city of Aqaba will rise to 38 degrees, while lows will stand at 22 at night.
