China confirms 26 new COVID-19 cases

China’s mainland reported 26 new cases from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, one of which is imported, according to the National Health Commission (NHC) on Sunday.

In a daily statement, the NHC said some 22 cases of the 25 new locally transmitted infections were in the capital, Beijing.

“The 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland had reported 1,869 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths,” the Commission said, adding that some 1,787 patients have recovered, while 82 confirmed cases still remained.
