Four COVID-19 patients in Prince Hamzah hospital ICU

Roya News// Four coronavirus patients are currently in the Intensive Care Unit at the Prince Hamzah Hospital, the director of the hospital, Abdul Razzaq Al-Khashman, told Roya on Wednesday

Two patients are on ventilators and one on a high-concentration oxygen device, all of which are in critical condition, he added.

Prince Hamzah Hospital has a total of 700 beds for COVID-19 patients and currently a total number of 247 people are receiving treatment at the hospital.

Patients who do not show any coronavirus symptoms are transferred to a hospital in the Dead Sea isolation area.

“At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the hospital kept receiving patients for other health reasons, but after the increase in the number of coronavirus infections, we closed the hospital for other patients to preserve their safety,” he said.

Regarding their medical staff, the hospital employs 800 nurses and a large number of doctors, amounting a total of 2000 to 2300 employees.
