The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) has launched a guide for caterers and food service establishments on the best practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement on Monday, JFDA’s Director General Nizar Muhaidat said that the guide, launched in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) / World Bank Group, comes as part of the Administration’s efforts to keep abreast of the latest scientific guidelines in food establishments, in order to ensure preventive measures are followed to protect workers, suppliers and consumers from being infected or spreading the coronavirus.

“It addresses key considerations for how foods offered by caterers and retails can be safely handled and delivered to the public, as well as key best practices for employee health, cleaning and sanitizing, and personal protective equipment,” he added.
