Public holiday announced for Prophet Mohammad’s birthday

 Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh announced today that all ministries, government departments and public institutions will observe a holiday marking Prophet Mohammad’s birthday on Thursday, October 29.

Prophet Mohammad (Peace be Upon Him) was born on the 12th day of Rabi I in the Islamic calendar.

Khasawneh stressed in an official statement that all official institutions should contribute in highlighting the “noble” occasion.
