China reports 33 new Covid-19 cases

 Mainland China has reported 33 new COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, up from 25 a day earlier, the country’s national health authority said on Saturday.

Of the new cases, 27 were imported infections were announced, the National Health Commission (NHC) said in a statement, adding that six local infections were reported in the westernregion of Xinjiang.

To date, the commission said the total caseload in mainland China stands at 85,973 and the death toll remains at 4,634.
