Fair weather conditions are expected to prevail Wednesday in most parts of country, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be warm, with clouds at various altitudes, the Jordan Meteorological Department JMD said in its daily brief.

At night, the southern regions of the Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions, bringing scattered showers that may turn heavy with thunder and lightning at times, causing flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including Aqaba, the meteorologists predicted, noting that winds will be southeasterly moderate to active, blowing dust in the Badia areas.

The weather department warned of poor visibility due to dust in the desert, slippery roads in the areas experiencing rain, flood formation and of high sea waves in Aqaba.

In the early morning hours of Thursday, the impact of the unstable conditions will extend to cover other regions, so temperatures will sharply dip, creating cold and relatively cloudy weather with heavy rain accompanied by thunder storms and hail, making floods in the valleys and lowlands, including the city of Aqaba, while winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, with strong gusts and stirring dust at times in the Badia, according to according to the JMD.

Mercury levels will drop few degrees on Friday, as the country will stay affected by the unstable weather conditions with accumulative clouds on various altitudes and downpours with thunder at times, mainly in the eastern areas, the forecasters expected, noting that winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly.

Temperatures in Amman today will be 20 degrees Celsius, dropping to 9C during night hours, meanwhile the city of Aqaba will see a high of 28C, sliding into 17C at night.
