Int’l oil derivatives prices rise in 1st week of March

The prices of oil derivatives in global markets have risen in the first week of March, according to data released on Monday by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The ministry’s figures showed that the price of 90-octane gasoline went up by 5.7 percent, going from $563.4 per ton in February to $595.4, while the price of 95-octane gasoline rose from $579.4 per ton to $611.6, an increase of 5.6 percent.

Diesel prices also increased by 3.9 percent going from $500.2 per ton to $519.8, while the prices of kerosene rose by 3.7 percent, from $513.9 to $532.7 per ton.

The prices of liquefied gas for the first week of March picked up by 2.1, going from $590 to $602.5 per ton.

Benchmark Brent crude prices also rose in the first week of the current month, from $62.2 to $66.1 per barrel.
