Khamasini dusty depression hits Kingdom today

shahennews

A significant rise in temperatures is forecast on Wednesday, becoming 9 to 10 degrees above annual average, as a khamasini dusty depression passes through the Kingdom and brings relatively warm conditions in most regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Clouds will appear at high and medium altitudes, and winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly moderate, picking up at times. At night, the weather will turn to be colder with southwesterly moderate to brisk winds,

The weather department warned of poor visibility due to dust in the desert, and urged the public, especially asthma patients and those who suffer seasonal allergy, to take precautions as the dust-laden winds pass through the Kingdom.

Following today’s khamasini depression, a significant drop in temperatures is forecast on Thursday, bringing dusty weather conditions and clouds at different altitudes.

As we head toward night, the Kingdom will be affected by a wet and cold air mass with cloudy skies and a chance of spotty showers over the northern and central highlands, stretching to cover other areas, and becoming heavier after midnight.

Temperatures in Amman today will reach a high of 27C, dropping to 13C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a high of 33C, dipping to 19C during night hours.
