Rise in temps forecast for three days

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) on Wednesday forecast that temperatures will rise 4-5 degrees above their annual average, so it will be relatively hot in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley and Aqaba where it will be hot.

Over the next two days, a further rise in mercury levels is expected, bringing relatively hot weather in the highlands and plains, and hot conditions in other regions, with clouds at various altitudes and southeasterly moderate winds, the JMD said.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach a high of 34 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 20C at night, while highs in the port city of Aqaba will hike up to a sizzling 39C, and lows will stand at 24C during night hours, the weather department added.
