Safadi reveals the reason behind canceling the Crown Prince visit to Al-Aqsa Mosque

ordan Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi reveals the reason behind canceling the visit by the Crown Prince, Al Hussein bin Abdullah to Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday.

Safadi said, in a response to a question during a press conference after the quartet meeting in France, that the Crown Prince was supposed to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque on the occasion of Al Israa wal Miraj which is an occasion that means a lot for Muslims.

He added, “we were surprised that Israel wanted to change the arrangements of the Crown Prince visit to Al-Aqsa Mosque in away that imposes restrictions on Palestinian Muslim Jerusalemites”.

Safadi confirmed that due to this restriction, the Crown Prince cancelled his visit to preserve the right of Muslims to pray on this night.
