The National Center for Security and Crisis Management announced that a total of 17,000 people aged 60 and over who have registered on the official online platform in the past two days were given appointments to receive a coronavirus vaccine Sunday and Monday.

March 19, the National Center for Security and Crisis Management indicated that it will establish a mechanism for vaccinating people aged 60 and over.

The center said that this mechanism came out of great concern for the safety and health of citizens and residents of Jordan, and for the purposes of controlling infection and preventing the spread of the coronavirus,

On Facebook, the center indicated that the mechanism will be put in place according to the following criteria:

– Individuals must be registered on the platform and have received a message to take the vaccine, as vaccines will be counted accordingly and distributed to the vaccination centers as per the rules within a maximum period of one week in order to prevent overcrowding that would contribute to the spread of infection.

– All people of the same age group (60+) who have received a prior appointment for the first dose can go to the vaccination center specified in the appointment message to receive the vaccine at any time.
