A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, making relatively hot to hot weather in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the highlands and the plains where it will be fair, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Over the next two days, similar weather conditions will continue to persist, with westerly to northwesterly moderate to active winds, blowing dust in the Badia at times, the JMD added.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom today will range between 26 and 31 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 20C or even 14C in the southern highlands. In the port city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 38C and a low of 27C.
