JMD expects moderate weather in highlands

Mercury levels on Tuesday are expected to be around seasonal average, so it will be moderate in the highlands and the plains, relatively hot in the Badia, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), low-altitude clouds are forecast to appear in the northern and central regions, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.

Over the next two days, mercury levels will rise few degrees, but similar weather conditions will continue to persist with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Tuesday will range between 25 and 29 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 17C or even 14C in the northern highlands. In the city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 37C and a low of 24C.
