TRC allows courier firms to deliver industrial inputs

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) has cleared licensed courier companies to deliver raw industrial materials to corporate customers in the local market in a bid to support producers and manufacturers.
The announcement was made by TRC Chief Commissioner Ghazi Jbour in a meeting with the director of the Jordan Chamber of Industry and the directors of private courier companies. He said the move was taken to serve public interest and support national industries without compromising security and health procedures and measures.
He indicated that allowing the entry of raw materials used in industrial processes will be limited to factories and companies, not individuals, provided that data on postal items is available and clear, such as the name of its sender and receiver, the nature of the raw material and its components, among other requirements.
Jbour also added that the commission will publish a list of factories and companies allowed to bring in raw materials through private companies that are licensed to provide international courier services.
