The Kingdom will be affected by a cold air mass and a depression on Thursday, pushing temperatures down and bringing rain, thunder and strong winds to certain parts of the country, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

The weather department warned of slippery roads and low-visibility during the depression, and of flood formation in valleys and low-altitude areas, including Aqaba.

Another drop in temperatures is forecast on Friday as the cold front deepen, bringing extremely cold weather conditions with heavy downpours, mainly in the northern and central regions, accompanied by thunder and hail.

Cold weather will persist on Saturday, with rainfall, cloudy skies, and westerly moderate to brisk winds.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman today will range between 17 degrees Celsius, dipping into 5C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a fair 22C, dropping to 11C during night hours.
