The National Centre for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) is holding meetings on an ongoing basis to follow up on the conditions of the Jordanians in Ukraine, a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Thursday.

“In light of the heightened tension and alert of a Russian military action in Ukraine, and with reference to the successive warnings issued by the ministry for the Jordanian community calling for leaving the eastern regions towards the west, Jordanians are urged once again to leave the country while civilian flights are still operating,” the statement added.

It said that expanded and comprehensive meetings will be conducted to assess the crisis updates, and discuss the available means of evacuation, mainly the potential land evacuation from borders of Ukraine’s western neighbors.

The Ministry called on Jordanians in Ukraine to take precautions and adhere to public safety measures announced by the official authorities.
In the case of an emergency, Jordanians can call the Embassy/Ankara 00905384419586, the Cultural Office/Kiev 00380939361181, and the Operations Center 00962795497777.
