Qatar directs increased investment in Jordan –– Ambassador

 Qatari ambassador Saud bin Nasser Al Thani said Monday that Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani directed raising his country’s investments in Jordan.

He told the Senate’s Jordanian-Qatari Brotherhood Committee that Qatar attaches special importance to Jordan, referring to a recent meeting between Minister of Investment Khairi Amr and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh with Qatari investment leaders.

The envoy said that the Qatari embassy endeavours by all means to enhance the partnership with Jordan towards activating joint committees and signed agreements, noting Jordan’s support for Qatar in organizing the World Cup.

Head of the committee Senator Maddallah Tarawneh spoke about the “distinguished” Jordanian-Qatari ties, praising the Gulf Arab state as an influential regional player, and thanking it for its continued support of the Kingdom.
