Dozens of Palestinians, including students, on Monday suffered from suffocation, due to inhaling gas fired at them by Israeli forces in the West Bank city of Hebron.

In a statement, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the occupation troops fired toxic tear gas canisters at Palestinian homes and students near Abu Rish military checkpoint, at the entrance of the old city and the Ibrahimi Mosque, leaving dozens of locals suffocated.

“The suffocation cases were treated at the scene by the PRCS crews,” the statement added.
