Oman’s Sultan Qaboos bin Said passes away

 The Sultanate of Oman announced the passing of Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur of Oman Friday evening.

Diwan of the Royal Court has declared a three-day period of mourning and the country’s flag will be flown at half-mast for 40 days, the Oman News Agency reported Saturday morning.
