Mercury levels will rise few degrees, on Monday, but it will remain relatively cold in most parts of the Kingdom, except for the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea where it will be warmer, with low-altitude clouds, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

The weather will turn colder at night with low clouds and southwesterly light winds, the department forecast, expecting fog formation over the highlands.

On Tuesday, the Kingdom will be affected by a relatively cold and wet air mass, as temperatures will drop and partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions will prevail with rainfall in various areas, that may turn heavy with thunder at times. Winds will be westerly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the Badia regions, the JMD said.

A new depression centered over Syria will envelope the country on Wednesday, pushing thermometers down and bringing cold and cloudy conditions with intermittent rain and westerly brisk winds, stirring dust in the Badia, the JMD added.

Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 19 degrees Celsius in Amman and 15 in the northern cities, dropping down to 10 and 7 at night. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 25 and lows standing at 15.
