Hot weather forecast today in most regions

 A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Sunday but will remain few degrees above annual average, so normal summer weather conditions will prevail in the hilly areas and plains, while it will be relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Clouds are also forecast to appear at various altitudes, making a weak chance for light rain in the southern and eastern regions, the department added.

Mercury level will rise again on Monday, bringing relatively hot conditions in the mountains and plains, and sizzling weather in other areas of the country, with clouds at medium and high altitudes and northwesterly moderate winds, the Meteorologists predicted.

Tuesday is expected to bring in similar weather conditions, with high-altitude clouds and northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD further said.

In Amman, temperatures are forecast to hover around 33C degrees today, dropping to 23C during night hours, while the Dead Sea, and the Gulf of Aqaba will see a scorching 40C and 41C respectively, sliding to 26C during night time.
