People of Salt value King Abdullah direct following-up on hospital oxygen incident

The people of the town of Salt valued His Majesty King Abdullah direct following-up on the Al Hussein Salt New Hospital incident, and check first-hand on details related to the unfortunate accident, which claimed the life of six people due to a lack of oxygen at the hospital.

“The visit of King Abdullah reflected his care for citizens and his constant communication with the people in such difficult circumstance in which the nation, with all its institutions, is fighting the battle against the Coronavirus pandemic to limit its spread in order to preserve the lives of Jordanians,” a number of As-Salt people said in a signed statement.

The signatories of the statement expressed appreciation for His Majesty’s decision to dismiss the Health Minister and the hospital’s director, and his Royal Decree to mandate the Public Prosecution and Judiciary into investigate the incident, to hold every negligee accountable.

They called on the people of the city of Salt to be calm and abide by the law and order and to give the Public Prosecution and all the civil and military bodies and institutions of the state the opportunity to identify negligees and hold them accountable.

They also called on the government to provide the Al Hussein Salt New Hospital with specialized medical equipment and staff.
