Jordan condemns Kosovo’s opening embassy in Jerusalem

shahennews

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Monday condemned Kosovo’s opening of its embassy in occupied Jerusalem.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Ambassador Dhaifallah Ali Al-Fayez, stressed that opening this embassy in Jerusalem blatantly runs contrary to international law and international legitimacy resolutions.

“Any measures or decisions aimed at changing the holy city’s legal status are null, illegal and have no legal effect,” he added.

Al-Fayez also affirmed that achieving a just and a comprehensive peace is the only way to reach a two-state solution based on international legitimacy decisions, which guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.
