A slight drop in temperatures is predicted on Thursday, becoming a few degrees below their annual average. Therefore, moderate weather conditions are expected to prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be relatively hot to hot, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Low-altitude clouds are also forecast to build up in the northern and central areas, while winds will be northerly, moderate to active later in the afternoon hours, causing dust in the Badia, the JMD added.

As we head into Friday, mercury levels will rise again, triggering sunny and fair conditions in the highlands and plains, and relatively hot weather in other regions, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the desert areas, the JMD further said.

Saturday will see a tangible increase in temperatures, bringing hot conditions to much of the country, while winds will be moderate to active, blowing from the southwest to the northwest, potentially leading to dust storms, especially in the Badia, forecasters predicted.

In the central, northern and southern highlands, the highs will range between 24C and 28C sliding at night to 15C or even 13C in the southern areas. In the port city of Aqaba, warmer weather will prevail with daytime temperatures stand at 37 degrees, while lows will drop to 25 at night.
